The atmosphere was just what we were looking for. The owner of the property was great!! She had leased several of the trailers out to victims of the recent Bastrop fires and still had room for us!! It was such a nice place to relax and everything was so clean and enjoyable. The best part is the river access which is right where we stayed. This is a great place to have a gathering or if you just want to get away! We highly recommend a stay at the Riverwood Retreat! We will be back! We had such an AWESOME time at the Riverwood Retreat when we stayed there for the Fowler Family Reunion. It was such a nice place to relax and everything was so clean and enjoyable. Sometimes they catch perch, catfish and bass, and sometimes there is no luck at all. The Colorado River is ever changing, so there is no consistency...whatever Mother Nature provides ...the luck of the fisherman~But all seem to enjoy the tranquility and privacy of fishing off the dock at Riverwood Retreat.
